Meet Dylan John…

Mini Coop is no longer known as Mini Coop – For those of you who are following me on here but not through Facebook, you are not aware of our new son or have seen the couple dozen pictures that I have posted.
Dylan John arrived on May 29th and just turned a month old on June 26th (sorry for not posting on here right away; I can not believe it was over a month)  He arrived 2 weeks early which was a shock for us but awesome news as well.  I ended up having an emergency c-section after pushing for almost an hour and a half, but he came out very healthy and with a little bit of jaundice that was discovered after we were recovering during the week (Mommy had some health problems too which put her in the hospital a week later also, so we are on the road to recovery and finally having some free time at home).  He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 21 ½ inches long.  I think if I would have gone full term he would have been around 9 ½ pounds.  Either way, I am glad he is finally here and we could not be happier.  We have had so many laughs and tears.  Our breaths are taken away everyday watching him and seeing what is changing. Even though he is not too happy in the picture above, he still brings happiness to our hearts whether he is crying or just taking in his new surroundings as he learns new things.
We have spent a lot of time indoors and bonding even more because of the heat here.  Today we walked to get the mail which was about 2 blocks total and that was enough time outside.  The humidity was terrible and it just took the wind out of both of us.  Good thing we have the air and fans on in the house so that we are staying comfy.  He is growing well and will have a two month check up at the end of the month to make sure everything is still on track.
